In 2019, still within the process of experimentation at FAMA - Fábrica de Artes Marcos Amaro - Means and Processes of Creation in Art, in Itú – SP, he continues to investigate semiotics and explore themes in the field of mythology, archetypes, the sacred.

From this process comes the work Asterion.

The work is a reinterpretation of the myth of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth created by Daedalus, father of Icarus.  In the reinterpretation of the myth, the Minotaur is Asterion, as in the short story by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges - The House of Asterion.

Asterion is represented in a process of metamorphosis between the monster, the Minotaur, and the man, Daedalus, imprisoned in his own creation, the Labyrinth.

The work, which rests on a white marble base, was modeled in clay and so that it could acquire the necessary robustness, it underwent a natural drying process, which over time will make it increasingly resistant.

Asterion

The traps we create are all there, within us.

Facing them requires having the common thread for the safe way back, or daring.

Minotaurs don't have wings.

You have to conquer them!
